FAQs What is HERO? HERO is our smallest 4K camera that features a rugged, super-light design, simplified control and more. It is 35% less volume and 46% less mass than HERO13 Black, but its still waterproof and compatible with 35 GoPro mounts and accessories. It captures 4K30, 1080p30 video, and 2.7K60 and 1080p60 slo-mo video, along with 12MP photos and 8MP photos from video.

NOTE: HERO is not compatible with HB-Series Lenses. Whats the deal with the built-in battery? The built-in battery lets us keep the HERO camera extra compact and lightweight. Like many electronics with built-in batteries, we recommend you keep it chargedand consider plugging it in when its not in use.

And like a smartphone, you may want to top off the battery or recharge it throughout the day when using it. I dont see stabilized video on my camera is something wrong? No! The HERO camera provides stabilization of your video automatically in the GoPro Quikapp. If you watch a clip on the HERO cameras display, it will appearwithoutimage stabilization applied.

To see what your footage looks likewithimage stabilization, watch your content in the app. And if you want to use your footage in other apps like Adobe Premiere Pro, simply export the footage from the Quik app with the image stabilization applied, and its ready to go! Note: if you try to use footage directly in these apps without using Quik to export it, stabilization wont be applied.

What type of microSD cards should I use with my camera? As a rule, be sure to use A2, V30 rated cards of 64GB capacity (or greater) from a trusted electronics retailer.

If you dont use a recommended microSD card, you may encounter Slow Card errors and you may not be able to record videos or take photos soalwaysbe sure to use one.
